Field study Test
Driving question:
How does the clarity of the water change as it gets colder out?
Hypothesis
As it gets colder outside, the water will get clearer.
- Collect some water to test in the turbidity tube
- Make sure you are in a bright area
- Look down the tube
- Slowly let water out of the tube
- As soon as you see the pattern at the bottom, close the clamp to stop the water
- Record water level using the measurements on the side
Materials:
Turbidity tube
Water from the pond
Constant:
Right at the end of the pond by the fallen tree part is where I’ll get my water
At pond around 3.
Fill the tube with water.
